Hello world!

I wanted to start this blog before I leave.  Tim and I are off to Addis Ababa for two years (it’s in Ethiopia for those of you who don’t know), mainly for an adventure, but also because we wanted to check out the geology on the African continent.  I knew I didn’t want to go back to Australia just yet to work – it was fun over there but I wanted to go somewhere a bit bigger, a bit more adventurous and of course somewhere with a lot more culture.  Planning has been underway for over a month now, and Tim will leave in two weeks.  I’ll follow in November once I’ve completed Uni.  The purpose of this blog is to share with family and friends what we’ve been up to and what we experience during our time so far away from home.  I’ve wanted to wander around Africa ever since I was a kid and I’m so excited that it’s finally coming true!
